Primitive and Outsider Art

PETER FOX Artist, Musician and Founder of REDWING

"I regard myself as a contemporary primitive, identifying with the Northern European ethnic tradition.  A non-anthropocentric world view is central to my thinking, and a desire to deepen understanding of the connectedness of existence.  The animal archetype is important, especially the wolf, a potent symbol of the wildness of nature."

Peter Fox was born in Kettering, Northamptonshire. He studied for his BA (Hons) in Fine Art at the Falmouth School of Art from 1979 to 1982. His work is strongly influenced by primitive and non-western art.

He is a member of the Newlyn Society of Artists and shows his work with them and in venues in Cornwall and London.  He has also shown abroad in the USA and Italy.
